This park is 50,134 hectares (of which 6411 hectares are under increased protection) and is located in the southeastern part of the country, near the place Szarvas. The park includes the catchment of the rivers Maros and Körös,that extends to the Tisza. The remarkable features include the unique animal and plant species, specific species that occur only in Hungary in this place.
