This arboretum has within Hungary a large value. It has been already founded by the Cistercian order of monks, which established itself here in 1182. Nowadays the garden functions outside its original owners. The position is ideal because of the climate. The plant collection include especially the plants which occur in these surroundings. Famous are the more than 400 years old summer oak and a line of lime trees from 1809.
