Hungarian open air museum (Szentendre)

On 60 hectares country from all over Hungary maisonettes, farms, mills, forges and schools have been collected. In the holidays and in the weekend in Skanzen there are demonstrations concerning the living in the past. Particularly nice for the children, because they can participate in everything. The museum is large enough for a day excursion. You get there a good idea how rural Hungary looked back 200 years ago. You live to the middle ages by gold wash, to batik on paper and linen or make an excursion with horse and covered wagon. Most companies in Skanzen are operational and produce bread, wafers and pottery. The children can help with everything. From all over Hungary stands in Skanzen cultural heritage. Skanzen is Hungary in small. Each province has its own spot. From spring up to the autumn in Skanzen there are cultural festivals with music, theater and folk dance. Furthermore there are permanent exhibitions. In 2010 is the railway opened which connects the 7 parts of the park. Additional tickets are needed.
