Museumvillage Hollókő

The town of Hollóők is completely a museum village. It is listed by UNESCO Worldheritage. The village comprises 58 houses and a church with whitewashed walls. The houses are built against the slope and have a typical construction of flat smoked roofs and wood carved cuckoo. The women are still in original costumes and demonstrate their craft skills. They sing and dance as they have been for over 200 years. Within the village there are a few houses housing a museum, there is a postal museum, the village museum, weaving house, an exhibition space of the national park with fossils and archaeological finds.
