The minaret of Eger is the most northern monument in Europe of the Turkish occupation. The minaret has been made of sandstone. The tower is 40 meters high and by a twisted staircase with 97 steps one can come above. On top of the balustrade one has a very beautiful view concerning the city and surroundings. On top of the minaret stand a cross as well as a moon.
