Great Market Hall (Sight) (Budapest)

The Great Market Hall also called the Central Market Hall, is the largest of the market halls in Budapest. It was built in 1897 to a design by Samu Pecz. In the market hall are mainly food stalls that sell normal market wares. In addition, however, also wares such as goose liver is sold and also the famous peppers, Tokaji aszú and caviar are sold. Upstairs in the hall are mainly tourist shops located which sell painted eggs, T-shirts, photo books and tablecloths.
